Role Overview
The Campaigns Officer is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of election campaigns and community event initiatives. This role requires strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to event coordination and candidate nominations.
Responsibilities
Elections & Campaign Management
Oversee and manage election campaigns, ensuring successful execution.
Develop and manage campaign budgets, allocating resources efficiently.
Identify and target electoral opportunities to maximise impact.
Working with candidates, content, policy and community leads analyse target constituencies
Provide swift and effective responses to any campaign-related crises to minimise negative impact.
Data and Analytics
Provide data-driven reports on campaign progress and demographic breakdowns.
Analysis of voter data to refine targeting and messaging strategies.
Post-campaign evaluation report highlighting successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
Events & Public Engagement
Drive an ambitious campaign & events strategy to maximise Volt’s public presence.
Working with the Community leads, organise and oversee various events that align with the campaign strategy, including but not limited to the following below:
Events & Campaign Strategy
Public speaking engagements
Marches and demonstrations
Podcasts and debates (internal and invitational)
Husting’s participation
Radio and TV appearances
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure all campaign activities comply with electoral laws and regulations.
Work with the treasurer to ensure timely submissions of required financial and activity reports to relevant authorities.
Key Deliverables
Create and agree a campaign strategy
Create and drive (via the Community Leads) an events and public engagement action plan that is guided by the campaign strategy
Prepare post-campaign reports evaluating the effectiveness of strategies and tactics and make recommendations for future campaigns based on insights gained.
