Community Lead

The Community Leads are the primary points of contact for members geographically or culturally located who need to feel connected, valued, and engaged. The Community leads drive local initiatives, coordinate with the other Volt teams to build a strong, active community that aligns with Volt’s overarching strategy and objectives and supports the growth of Volt in each region.

Foster a vibrant and inclusive community where members feel inspired to participate.
Integrate and inspire new members into the team.
Organize and facilitate community events, discussions, and networking opportunities.
Mobilize and train members to actively support campaigns and initiatives.

Work closely with the Campaigns and Content teams to align community activities with national strategies.
Provide feedback from the ground to ensure campaigns are effective and reflective of community needs.
Liaise with the Policy Team to ensure consistent communication of Volt’s policies and adapt them to reflect community perspectives.

Plan and execute events that align with Volt’s campaigns and policy objectives.
Organize debates, panel discussions, and interactive forums to engage the community.
Encourage participation in media opportunities, including podcasts and interviews including but not limited to:

Serve as the primary leader for Volt members in your community, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
Act as the direct point of contact between the Board and community members.
Regularly report on activities, successes, challenges, and opportunities within the region.

Support the development of policies and programs by gathering and integrating local insights.
Write and publish articles that align with Volt’s vision and objectives.
Represent Volt at political, public, and media events.

Foster a cohesive and engaged community team
Identify and report upon all possible election opportunities for that community
Working with other Community leads and prepare a Community Activity Plan on a rolling 6 monthly basis
Drive members to engage with the Community Activity Plan
Working with the Campaigns and Nominations officer to identify any present members to be considered as candidates for selection for public office
Identify and report on key community specific issues
Identify budget and resource requirements to support grassroots activities
Provide regular reports to the Volt UK Board on planned activities, successes, failures, problems, opportunities, threats, budgets, resourcing, campaign and elections etc
