Role Overview
The Nominations Officer is responsible for the interviewing vetting and recommendation of candidates eligibility to stand for election representing Volt UK.
Key Responsibilities
Nominations Management
Serve as the Nominations Officer during election periods.
Develop and manage the nominations process for local and general elections.
Screen, onboard, and nominate suitable internal and external candidates.
Key Deliverables
Create and agree a Nominations selection strategy and criteria
Prepare post-campaign reports evaluating the effectiveness of candidates for future campaigns based on insights gained.
Identify training and budget and resource requirements prospective candidates may require
Provide reports to the Volt UK Board on identified candidates suitability or otherwise to represent Volt UK at elections
Role Requirements
Strong understanding of the political landscape, including local, community, and national issues.
Familiarity with the party’s policies, values, and objectives.
Awareness of electoral laws and compliance requirements.
Experience in managing reputational risks and maintaining party integrity.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team, including party members, volunteers, and external consultants.
